Architectural Aluminium and Glass Ltd were appointed by one of our key clients, Kier Construction, to design, manufacture and install the glazing package at the newly built Integrated Care Centre in Devizes which will provide a new type of healthcare facility for the residents of Wiltshire.

Our work package included screenwork complete with fire exit doors which was manufactured from the Technal STII profile system, windows incorporating tilt and turn vents and fixed lights, both manufactured from Technal FY65 profile system incorporating louvred panels with tilt and turn vents behind for purge ventilation whilst also maintaining a high level of security. Integral Blinds were located within the fixed lights for added privacy for the residents.

Two Technal MX CAPPED Curtain Walling Screens with high level opening vents, operated via winding gear, were also manufactured and installed to the corner of the Building. In addition, AAAG Ltd installed an entrance lobby area with glass-to-glass corners and look-a-like panels which was manufactured from the Smart Systems SmartWall profile system.

A number of VE options were put forward by AAAG and accepted by Kier and the Client to keep the project within budget and maintain the specified performance criteria. Including a specially designed extended handle to the integral blinds to eliminate the need for remote operation.

Installation was completed within the scheduled programme as specified by the Principal Contractor.
