Training & Achievements
This month’s news article focuses on the training and the continual improvement of our employees. We are always looking at ways to enhance our team’s knowledge, skills and expertise and we are pleased to say that the team have been really busy over the past few months completing various training courses alongside their usual day-to-day activities.
Our Contract Managers, Pete Allen & Jake Allen, have both achieved a Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Occupational Work Supervision (Construction). Although they already hold a vast amount of knowledge regarding supervising on-site installation activities, by achieving this recognised certificate it demonstrates that they have reached the national standard. Their achievement will also be reflected on their Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) cards enabling them to demonstrate their experience to Principal Contractors whilst working on-site. Well done to them both for their commitment in completing the course.
We have also become members of the Supply Chain Sustainability School (SCSS) which provides training in different areas of the construction industry some of which include Sustainability, People and Procurement. By becoming a member, we have access to various courses applicable to our industry which will enable us to further our skills and expertise. Our Quality Manager, Gemma Wilson, has so far completed courses in Performance Management, Social Values and Environmental Management to name a few which will help us strengthen our knowledge in these areas whilst also helping us to achieve our sustainability objectives. We currently hold a bronze certificate with SCSS and will aim to achieving Silver over the coming months.
