Architectural Aluminium and Glass Ltd were appointed to design, manufacture and install the Curtain Walling Screen, Windows, Doors, Louvres and 30 minute Fire Rated Screens at the University of Bristol Student Campus on Tyndalls Avenue.

The Campus was undergoing a complete refurbishment and extending the existing 7-storey building to provide a large food court, café/bar and a new information point for students in two phases.

Due to funding issues only Phase 1 has been carried out to date which was the Lower Ground, Upper Ground and First Floor levels along with the new Courtyard.

The Curtain Walling Screens were fabricated from the Technal MX Visible Grid range, the Windows from the Technal FY65 range, the Doors from the Technal STII range and the 30 minute Fire Rated Screens and Doors from the Schuco ADS 80 FR30 range.

The Louvre panels were face fixed to the Window system that was glazed into the Curtain Walling system with insect mesh to the rear. Actuated Bottom hung vents were located internally behind the Louvres to provide purge ventilation.
