Newsletter – April 2024

It has been a busy couple of months with a focus on training to ensure employees remain competent and safe in their roles. External training courses have been completed in Health and Safety Awareness, IPAF, PASMA and Face Fit Testing.

Our installation teams are currently completing a Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Fenestration Installation together with the supervisory element of the course to demonstrate they have the skills and expertise to carry out and supervise installation activities.

We are delighted to have achieved certification with UL International (UK) Ltd, a global leader in applied safety science, to manufacture the Schuco ADS80 fire rated profile system with the first few products already entering production.

Gaining certification to manufacture these specialist products enables us to deliver a complete work package to our clients with no undue delays, whilst also providing assurance that the Fire Rated products we manufacture are in compliance with the Construction Products Regulation and the Harmonised Standard, EN 16034.

Our annual surveillance audits for ISO 9001, Quality Management, and EN 14351-1, Pedestrian doorsets for escape routes, is due to take place in May. These important accreditations ensure that quality and continual improvement is at the forefront of our business whilst demonstrating to our clients that the products and services we provide will meet both their requirements and those of the Construction Products Regulation.

Project Updates
Our production team have been busy fabricating products in line with agreed programmes to ensure that installation is completed on time for our clients. We are currently on site at the new Surgical Centre which is being built at Musgrove Hospital where we have installed the first few phases of the glazing package.
